With over three decades of global experience, she has coached organisations from micro-enterprises to multinational corporations across Africa, the UK, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and India, guiding them to meaningful change. A former CEO of the Lean Institute Africa and Head of Sustainable Enterprise at the University of Buckingham, Rose is the author of several publications, including Clear Direction, Making a Difference, Becoming a Sustainable Enterprise and Green is the New Gold. A full member of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals and a Chartered Environmentalist, Rose is dedicated to connecting sustainable ambitions with practical, on-theground action.One of the greatest challenges in sustainability is turning strategic intent into meaningful action. Sustainability goals are featured in reports and websites, yet often fail to reflect in daily operations and problem solving. A survey of more than 100 participants confirms that sustainability ranked dead-last against the performance areas of quality, cost, delivery, safety and morale. Even if sustainability is a strategic priority, the action is not prioritised and cascaded through the ranks. The outcome is a noticeable disconnect between strategy and action, and the formation of the Execution Gap.Sustainability may also appear unattainable and too great a challenge to accomplish.
